Project Geologist

Prepare and implement exploration programmes, prepare budgets, supervise field personnel to ensure the quality of the field data, integrate and interpret the data collected by field personnel and contractors, maintain mineral dispositions, prepare technical and administrative reports.

Incumbent must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in mineral exploration or geological mapping,  Be a team player with a solid background in geology and good computer literacy

Geologists

Assist project geologist, collect and interpret field data (core logging, mapping, geochemical sampling, prospecting), data plotting and recording, written and verbal reports to project manager as required

Incumbent must have an equivalent of 2 years experience in mineral exploration or geological mapping, be a team player with a university degree in geology, be computer literate and be familiar with GIS software.

GIS Specialist

You will use your map production and geographic data processing experience to assist the geologists in the preparation of reports and display material, as well as digitise and organise field data, using primarily ArcView GIS.

Incumbent must have a GIS diploma and / or degree from a recognised college or university, and a minimum of one years' experience using ESRI products in the mineral exploration industry or a similar environment. Self starters with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience will also be considered. 

Knowledge of MapInfo and of MS Access, SQL, and VB programming abilities would be an asset.

CanAlaska Uranium Ltd has offices in Vancouver, Saskatoon, and La Ronge, and offers competitive remuneration and benefit packages. The GIS-Specialist will be based in CanAlaska's Saskatoon office.
